On March 7, the Covington High School Concert Band performed at OMEA District Large Group Contest at Versailles High School. The band earned STRAIGHT “superior” ratings - one of only three bands in our area to do so. The ratings qualify the Concert Band to move to OMEA State Large Group Contest on April 25th.
The Covington Exempted Village School District Board of Education has adopted an alternative make-up of calamity days in the form of Blizzard Bags and E-Days. Blizzard Bags / e-Days provide the schoolwork your child missed as a result of a calamity day, and this day will NOT need to be made up at a later time. This school work needs to be completed by your child and submitted back to your child’s teacher(s). This option can be used for days missed up to a maximum of three days.
The annual Covington High School Spaghetti Supper will be held on Tuesday, March 18 from 4:30 - 6:30 pm. On the evening of the event, the meal will be served in the K-8 school. Beginning on Tuesday, March 25 through Wednesday, April 30, our students in grades 3-11 will be taking a variety of state-mandated assessments in English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
