Fight Song

About Us

The Covington High School Band of Bucc Pride has maintained a tradition of excellence through their performances during both football games and OMEA competitions. Students create goals at the beginning of the season in order to better themselves as both individuals and as a larger group. Our mainstays every year include musicianship, clarity, precision, and attention to detail.

Fundamentally a physical activity, marching band allows students to express their passion for music through both auditory and kinesthetic mediums.

Ensembles must work together to create a finely polished end product. Marching band is no exception as it promotes team building and working as a group to accomplish a unified goal.

Marching band also rehearses for a portion of the summer in order to review basic technique and to prepare the majority of the competition show.

About Us

Buccs Wellness is a school-based peer-to-peer support program that empowers selected students to take action and help foster a culture of care where all students feel safe and a genuine sense of belonging. Buccs Wellness members are selected via peer nomination process. Members are trained on how to be peer advocates, recognize signs of suicide contemplation, and respectfully report any concerns to an adult. They engage in activities that focus on suicide awareness and prevention, and work to reduce stigmas around mental health and suicide. This organization serves as a student-led violence prevention club for Covington Middle School and High School.

About Us

Yearbook is a student-led class that produces our yearbook, The Buccaneer, for our high school students. Our student editors work year-round to ensure all of our student groups at Covington Schools are represented well. Their responsibilities include photographing events, creating templates for use in the yearbook, promoting our yearbook sales, collaborating with local businesses to sell advertisements, and individually creating each page of the yearbook. The yearbook is solely produced by students, with the guidance of the advisor. These students take pride in their work, and are eager to showcase their peers in a book made to represent their lives as Covington students.
