This scholarship is available to all Covington Seniors who have a 3.0 GPA or higher. Several scholarships will be given of varying amounts. See the application for more information and application rules.

The Troy Foundation has several scholarships available to seniors at all Miami County High Schools or who are residents of Miami County & surrounding counites. You will need to create a free application to apply for any scholarships through the Troy Foundation.

The Tom Smith Scholarship was established in 2002 in memory of Mr. Tom Smith, a dedicated Covington resident whose wish was to support a student from the Covington community who is interested in furthering their education beyond high school.
Selection Criteria:
- Applicant must be a high school senior at either Covington High School or at the Upper Valley Career Center whose home district is Covington.
- Applicant must attend an undergraduate or technical school beginning the fall after graduation.
- There is no minimum GPA required, however attendance and dedication to further their education are considered.
The online application is available through the Troy Foundation website. This is a universal application. You only need to fill it out one time to be put in the applicant pool for all the scholarships you qualify for.

Premier Health has several scholarships available to students who are pursuing a degree in the healthcare field. Please read the selection criteria for the various scholarships very carefully to make sure you qualify. Please check all scholarships you are applying for on the application, as you may qualify for more than one!
Please return the original application and essay to the UVMC Foundation office by 4:00 PM Monday, March 27, 2023. The school transcripts and 2 completed references are usually mailed separately to the UVMC Foundation office, however, if references are given to the applicant they can be submitted with the application.

This memorial scholarship provides financial assistance to graduating seniors of Covington High School in Covington, Ohio who are in the top 20% of their graduating class. There will be two scholarships given for $2,000 per recipient.
Eligibility Criteria
- Graduating seniors of Covington High School in Covington, Ohio
- Must be U.S. Citizens
- Must be in the top 20% of the graduating class
- Must be pursuing post-secondary education at an accredited public or nonprofit independent, four-year college or university, full time, in Ohio
- Candidates must pursue a degree in science (chemistry, physics, mathematics, computer science, or biology) engineering, business, medicine, or education.

The Covington VFW is sponsoring three $1,000 scholarships to members of the Covington High School graduating class of 2023. The application should be completed and turned in to the school counseling office by March 31, 2023.
Students interested in applying should fill out the application and submit a one page essay answering the following questions:
- What do you plan to use your education for?
- How will you use your degree to help the veteran community?

The Ohio Gas Association Scholarship Foundation is a $1,000 annual scholarship that may be renewed up to three additional years. Applications are accepted between January 9, 2023 and March 31, 2023. Scholarship winners will be announced in May 2023.
Minimum Applicant Criteria
- Must have a career goal in the natural gas or related energy field.
- Must be a US citizen or legal resident.
- Must be an Ohio resident attending, or planning to attend an accredited Ohio college, university, technical, or trade school.
- Must have and maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher.

Access Engineering Solutions will be awarding one $1500 scholarship to a senior in high school scheduled to graduate in the Spring of 2023. The applicant must be pursuing an undergraduate degree at a four year university, a two year college and/or a technical school in the field of Civil Engineering or Surveying.

The Robert A. Cunningham Scholarship was created in 1998 to honor the memory of Robert A. Cunningham, who was a GECU board member for 30 years. The Credit Union’s Board of Directors is comprised of volunteers elected by its members. The Board’s vital role is to establish the Credit Union’s policies and procedures. In addition to volunteering for GECU’s Board of Directors, Mr. Cunningham’s spirit of volunteerism was also prominent in the community.
This college scholarship honors five graduating high-school seniors who share the same spirit of volunteerism and scholastic achievement as Mr. Cunningham.
The application runs from January 2, 2023 – March 31, 2023. Students may submit their application using our new online application form. Five scholarships will be awarded and each scholarship recipient will receive a one-time award of $2,000.

The Tzu Chi USA Scholarship is a scholarship program funded by Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation to recognize and provide financial assistance to outstanding college-bound high school graduates and continuing undergraduate students who were prior recipients in selected areas of the United States. Tzu Chi USA Scholars are selected on the basis of their financial need, academic achievement, and community involvement. One $1,500 scholarship will be awarded.

- Applicant demonstrates financial need for college tuition and related expenses.
- Applicant is a U.S. high school graduating senior or equivalent.
- Applicant has a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Applicant will enroll in an accredited U.S. college full-time for the academic year 2023-2024.

Mote & Associates, Inc., Engineers and Land Surveyors, located in Greenville, Ohio established a scholarship in October of 2002 at a celebration to honor the founder of the firm, Richard Mote, for his 30 years of dedicated leadership and his passion for engineering and surveying. The scholarship is for a commendable student seeking a post high school education or enrolled in an accredited college program in the field of engineering, surveying, architecture, or a closely related field of study.

One of SAME’s strategic goals is to “Enrich the STEM Pipeline for the Nation.” It is the intent of the Kittyhawk Post to grant scholarships annually to encourage students in the Post’s region (Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky) to pursue careers in fields related to the Society’s mission - engineering, architecture, construction, facilities management and environmental management/science. The program is designed to cover all levels of post-high-school education to include associate, baccalaureate, and graduate degrees. The number and value of scholarships awarded may vary from year to year, but our typical awards are $1000~$2000 to eight to 12 awardees.

Shikar-Safari Club International (SSCI) supports wildlife conservation and is committed to educating the non-hunting public on how hunting is a key conservation tool to safeguard wildlife and their habitats through sound science and active managements (North American Model of Wildlife Conservation). SSCI seeks to support wildlife conservation organizations across the world that are making a significant difference in their area of expertise, experience and knowledge. Conservation scholarships are an initiative of SSCI to help prepare the next generation for these challenges.
Conservation Scholarships:
Students entering college, technical school or graduate programs in the area of wildlife conservation, outdoor education, game and land management, and the life/animal sciences applicable to the above.
SSCI annually approves an amount dedicated to the scholarship program. Awards up to $5,000 per applicant per year will be considered. Renewals will be considered on a case by case basis.
Note: SSCI family members are not eligible for the scholarship program.

Florence Adelia Butler Wells directed in her will the eventual establishment of a scholarship fund to memorialize her parents, Rachel and John Butler, and her husband Charles Wells. The scholarship fund awards scholarships to “worthy and deserving young men and women of good character in obtaining either collegiate, scientific, technical, musical, or vocational education.”
Scholarships range from $250 to $2,500. Awards are not renewable, but students may apply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. Scholarships are paid directly to campuses and require full-time enrollment for the 2023-202 school year.

Scholarships are awarded each April to graduating seniors selected from applicants from Miami County's 9 public schools, Troy Christian High School, and Sidney Lehman High School. Worthy candidates are those who have substantial academic achievements to their credit, and/or are exceptionally involved in extra-curricular activities, and/or are facing exceptional financial hardship beyond just wanting or needing money.
Students should complete the application and return it to Mrs. Ayres before the April 1st deadline. Essays must be typed.

All Applications must by typed. Completed applications must be returned to the CHS School Counseling Office by the end of the school day Monday April 3, 2023. No exceptions will be made, as it is unfair to the other students competing for these scholarships. The Covington Alumni Association will be awarding three (3) $1,000 scholarships. Winners must attend the Covington Alumni Banquet on Saturday June 3, 2023 to accept the award.
This scholarship is available to all Covington Seniors who have a 2.0 GPA or higher.
Requirements:
- Letter of recommendation from Covington Staff member
- Acceptance letter from prospective college
- A brief essay on why you need the Covington Alumni Scholarship and how you plan to use the money (tuition, books, housing, etc.)

PURPOSE: To provide a $500 Book/Media Supply Scholarship to a Miami County high school senior pursuing a college degree or to a current staff member continuing a degree.
ELIGIBILITY: Applicants must be accepted by a two or four year accredited college and show probable success based upon completion of the attached. A hard copy must be received by MCRTA by April 10.
PROCEDURE: Complete the attached three-page application, attach, in a separate sealed envelope, two signed letters of recommendation applicable to Miami County Retired Teachers Association and attach a signed copy of your most recent transcript. Application must be handwritten. No typed applications. An applicant who does not complete all guidelines outlined above, will be disqualified.

Human Resources Association of Western Ohio (HRAWO) will be issuing a scholarship to be used towards an associate's or bachelor's degree at an accredited university. The scholarship will consist of a one-time payment of $1,000. One scholarship for the academic year will be awarded to an incoming freshman or current college freshman.
To be eligible to apply, a student must meet the following qualifications:
- Be a senior graduating from an Auglaize, Darke, Mercer, Miami or Shelby County High School (Public, Private or Home School) or a current college freshman who graduated from an Auglaize, Darke, Mercer, Miami, or Shelby County High School (Public, Private or Home School).
- Planning to attend an accredited university to earn an associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
- Pursuing a degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Have a minimum of a 3.0 grade point average.
- Must furnish a high school transcript and copies of college admission test results.
- Must write an essay of 250 to 500 words explaining the importance of your major in today’s society.
The completed application should consist of:
- HRAWO Scholarship Application Form - completed and signed by applicant.
- Applicant’s essay.
- A high school transcript; and
- Standardized test scores (ACT or SAT).

The Kona Ice Scholarship is open to all Seniors of the graduation class of 2023. The amount of this scholarship is $250 and will be rewarded to four recipients each.

The Kyle Terrian Memorial Fund was established in 2013 to remember Kyle Terrian. Kyle was a
student of Bethel High School and Ohio University. Kyle passed away in 2013 from a rare and aggressive cancer. The Memorial Fund’s goal is to give back to the community in the form of
scholarships and charitable contributions. The scholarship you are applying for is comprised of
donations from your friends and family in the community, who have given of themselves to
help you achieve your goals. It is our hope that you will use this money to better yourself and
someday be able to give back to the fund to continue helping students after you. This is a
nonrenewable scholarship.

Edison State Community College is offering 2023 high school graduates a College Credit Plus (CCP) & Career-Technical tuition waiver. The waiver covers 100% of the tuition cost for graduating seniors in the Edison State service area who have completed at least six credit hours through CCP with Edison State, articulated coursework, Career-Technical Assurance Guide (CTAG), or any combination.

Each year, Gordon & DeSantis Orthodontics provides two (2) $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are either current or former patients of Gordon & DeSantis Orthodontics.
Scholarship applicants must submit the application and an essay highlighting how your orthodontic treatment has benefitted you. The essay must be 500 words or less. The criteria for the scholarship selections is based on achievement (3.5 cumulative GPA and combined SAT scores of 1000 and/or ACT scores of 24), leadership, school activities (particularly as it relates to the arts), and service throughout the high school years, along with the essay. These attributes can be represented through school, community, or church activities.

The OAPSE/AFSCME Memorial Scholarship Foundation Program is available to any graduating high school senior whose parent or legal guardian has been a member in good standing of the Ohio Association of Public School Employees (OAPSE/AFSCME Local 4/AFL-CIO) for one year (or who signed up for OAPSE/AFSCME Membership at the first opportunity after hire). The graduating senior must intend to enroll in a full-time degree program in any 2 or 4 year accredited university, college, business, technical or an accredited trade school. The scholarships may be used for any field of study.
Under the program all applications are reviewed by the Scholarship Selection Committee. From the applicants who meet the eligibility requirements, at least one scholarship of $2,500 is awarded to a scholarship applicant in each of the ten OAPSE/AFSCME Districts in the state.

This $5,000 scholarship is awarded to one qualified high school student upon graduation. In addition to the scholarship, Midmark will also offer paid co-op experiences for two (2) semesters while attending school. Scholarships will be awarded when Co-Op Experiences are started.
