Kara Stephan with Agriscience project bread

Congratulations to CHS senior Kara Stephan, who has been named Star State Degree in Agriscience Research Integrated Systems. This means that not only has Kara earned her State FFA Degree, the highest degree the state can bestow, but she has also been named a Top 4 Finalist in the State of Ohio! She will find out later this spring at the state FFA convention if she earned the top spot in Agriscience Research.

The annual Covington High School Spaghetti Supper will be held on Wednesday, March 13 from 4:30 - 6:30 pm. On the evening of the event, the meal will be served in the K-8 school. All proceeds from the dinner will benefit the Covington Schools Scholarship Fund Program.  Each dinner will include Italian spaghetti with meat sauce, homemade coleslaw, garlic toast, dessert, and drinks.

In an effort to keep everyone updated on upcoming athletic events, schedule changes, time changes, cancellations, and anything else that may come up, the Athletic Department has created a new Remind group called "2023-2024 Community Athletic Updates" where we will share that information!

College Credit Plus Informational Meeting January 24, 2024

Covington High School counselors will be hosting college credit plus informational meetings on Wednesday, January 24 at 6:30 pm in the high school commons. CCP is open to students entering grades 7 through 12.

Farm to Fork 2023 - Bread Baking

On October 6, 2023 the Covington FFA hosted approximately 360 students, grades K-5, for the FFA Farm to Fork event. The event was held in the K8 gymnasium and the Batdorf Family brought in a tractor and combine for the students to view. The Ag. Literacy Committee developed the activity to teach the K-5 students about the processing that commodities go through before getting to their plate!

FFA Competes in Soils Competition

This year the Covington-UVCC FFA Chapter Soils Evaluation teams competed at the county and district levels. Special thanks to the Miami County Soil and Water District for hosting the county contest at the beautiful Vogel Farms.  The District 5 Contest was held on September 27, 2023, in Darke County. Our district includes Miami, Preble, Montgomery, Darke, Shelby, Mercer, and Auglaize Counties.
